Frequently asked questions

What you need to know about LuksMentis, the cyber threat intelligence app for CISOs, executives and security professionals.

What is LuksMentis?

LuksMentis is a cyber threat intelligence mobile app (iOS and Android). It continuously aggregates more than 1,000 sources, categorises them, then delivers the essentials in a daily briefing that takes 5 minutes to read, with alerts on critical events. It comes with a public web threat watch and a free newsletter.

Who is LuksMentis for?

CISOs, executives, security teams and cybersecurity consultants who need to keep up with threat news without spending their days on it. It also suits anyone following the field (professionals and enthusiasts alike).

Which sources does LuksMentis monitor?

More than 1,000 sources worldwide: agencies and CERTs (ANSSI, CERT-FR, CISA, ENISA), vendor security advisories, specialist media and blogs, and the sites where ransomware groups claim their victims. CERT advisories surface as soon as they are published, at their criticality level.

How much does LuksMentis cost? Is there a free version?

The newsletter is free: a summary of major events, up to 20 articles per day, daily, weekly or monthly, in French or English. The Premium app costs EUR 3.99 per month or EUR 39.99 per year, with no commitment. The Professional plan, for companies, costs EUR 84 excl. VAT per month on a 12-month commitment, and includes the monthly report.

Which devices does LuksMentis run on?

The app is available on the App Store (iOS) and on Google Play (Android). The public threat watch and the monthly reports can also be viewed in a web browser.

How does LuksMentis help track vulnerabilities (CVEs)?

Every CVE mentioned in the news is matched with its severity, the CISA KEV catalogue (actively exploited vulnerabilities, with their remediation deadline) and the EPSS score, which estimates the likelihood of exploitation.

Does LuksMentis help with ISO 27001, NIS 2 and DORA?

Yes, as an intelligence source. ISO 27001:2022 (control 5.7, threat intelligence), NIS 2 and DORA require organisations to monitor threats and vulnerabilities: LuksMentis daily intelligence feeds these requirements. With the Professional plan, the events and recommendations of the monthly report are mapped to these frameworks, which prepares the management review. LuksMentis does not issue certifications and does not replace an audit.

What does the monthly report contain?

Reserved for the Professional plan, it sets out the threat level of the month, the expected trend, exposed sectors, critical vulnerabilities and recommendations. It comes as a PDF and as strategic and operational slides (pptx), ready for a board meeting.

How is it different from an RSS reader or a threat intelligence platform?

An RSS reader shows articles as they are: LuksMentis deduplicates them, categorises them (attack type, sector, country, actor), enriches them (KEV, EPSS, MITRE ATT&CK) and summarises them. Conversely, LuksMentis is not an indicator of compromise management platform such as MISP or OpenCTI: its scope is intelligence and its delivery.

Which languages is LuksMentis available in?

French and English: the app, the newsletter, the blog and the reports.

Who publishes LuksMentis?

LuksMentis is a French publisher. Its blog publishes in-depth analyses based on its consolidated database.
